The Legend Maker
The Legend Maker is a film set in Melbourne's underworld of criminal passport forgery. The story centres around two separate forgery syndicates vying for power over the unlawful trade.
Sachin Joab plays the role of Ranjit; a meticulous passport forger who learned his illegal trade as a child being raised within the Mafia. As a result of his ethnicity and highly sort after illegal craft, young Ranjit is adopted into a foreign criminal underworld.
The Legend Maker is written and directed by Ian Pringle whose many credits include producing the cult classic Romper Stomper. The film is edited by AFI award winner Ken Sallows of Chopper, Gettin' Square and Malcolm. Released in 2014.
